All the words from PURPRESS to QUIT SHILLING were published on 13 December in fully revised form, along with new words both there and across the alphabet. The OED's chief editor, John Simpson, looks at the changes made in revising this range, and Katherine Martin, the New Words editor, provides some notes on interesting new entries.
