to serve and protect

As of early June, del.icio.us officially added me into the mix. Since joining the team, my tasks have included building new servers, taking James to the Shake Shake, setting up various network monitoring utilities, eating with the VCs at the Shake Shack, coding, sitting in a lawn chair dreaming of the Shake Shack, and starting a new diet.

Yesterday, I racked five new servers, bringing the current total up to 14. This will allow us to implement some power-hungry new features within the coming week or so.

Johnvey Huang‘s awesome Delicious Director is a high speed bookmark viewer for del.icio.us. Reminiscent of the Smalltalk browsers of old, it is implemented entirely in Javascript and runs entirely within the browser.

tags for two

We’ve just begun rolling out support for tagging items for others. To do so, use "for:username" where username is the name of the user you want to send the item to.

You can see items tagged for you at http://del.icio.us/for/ (it’ll redirect to your own page, which other users will not be able to see.)
