Digital Terrestrial Television Project

Further to our message 23 March 2012, we promised that we would provide an update on
the new Digital TV service for St Helena, which will allow us to rebroadcast 15 uninterrupted channels.

The 15 uninterrupted channels consist of:

Super Sport
Entertainment, News and Documentary:
MNet, MNet Movies 1 & 2, MNet Action, BBC Entertainment.
BBC World.
Discovery.
Children:
Disney World.
Cartoon Network.

We are in the final stages of concluding the subscription costs, which are estimated at
between £33 and £35 per month (excl. SHG Service Tax).

We also have the capacity to rebroadcast local content, which will be used as required
including for on-screen messaging. Local webcam images will be sequenced when no local
content is being available.

The central control and distribution equipment to be located at The Briars has now been
received. The Systems Integrator, Christian Badea, Africa Union Communications,
arrived on Island, Sunday 22 April 2012 and will be on Island until 30 April 2012. He will
be installing and commissioning the equipment, and training our local technical staff to
support this equipment.
