SUBANG JAYA, Sept 28, 2014:

Hundreds have gathered at Taylor’s University Lakeside campus here to audition for a spot in the newly launched Asia’s Got Talent reality show.

Participants of various ages and talents could already be seen lining up outside the theatre hall even before 9am, where audition is currently taking place.

Some are practising their singing skills with instruments in hand, while others wait patiently either with friends or family for their turn to showcase their talents to the judges.

While no one from the public is allowed in to view the auditions, music can be heard coming from inside with the occasional cheering from awaiting participants outside.

Production for the Asian version of the Got Talent programme series began this month with auditions in Jakarta, Indonesia, Singapore, Manila and Bangkok among others.

According to Variety.com, the show will debut on AXN early 2015, involving contestants from a total of 13 countries and territories.

The Got Talent franchise initially kicked off in the US titled America’s Got Talent created by famed music producer Simon Cowell.

Well-known for his snide and blunt remarks, Cowell, however, did not sit on the panel of judges for the American show, but was one of the judges for the United Kingdom version titled Britain’s Got Talent.
