Artur Platonov wins Cannes Corporate Media & TV Award 2013

Journalist from Kazakhstan Artur Platonov became a winner of
the Cannes Corporate Media & TV Awards 2013 in the category “Best Script”
for his documentary “Sold Souls” telling about the role of Kazakhstan and its
contribution to the struggle against terrorism. The film tells about the main
trends of the global terrorism, its causes and origins, theory, practice and
scale. Totally, 719 films from 42 world countries were presented to the jury.
Artur Platonov is the head and host of “Portrait of the Week” TV show broadcast on KTK channel. He is also a historian, music expert and chess player. Artur Platonov is a member of the public council for mass media under the President of Kazakhstan.
