Director @ G2i Inc. | Connecting vetted tech talent with fast-growing engineering teams with transparent interviewing, in 48 hours.

Hiring 10+ developers this year? You can’t lower your quality standards. It’s far too costly. When high-growth companies come to us, they usually fulfill 3 criteria: 1/ a big project or ambitious migration 2/ a need to hire top developers… fast 3/ a high-bar for talent and culture fit The stakes and pressure to fill contingent roles are high. But that can't come at the expense of the quality of your screening and interviewing processes. We invest heavily in the vetting process to build out a custom talent pipeline full of top-notch candidates: → identifying green and red flags. → assessing write-ups and code samples. → running technical interviews that you can replay. We have partners who onboard 30+ developers in 15 days… without ever cutting corners. Making the wrong choice is far too risky. So we handpick developers that bring passion, quality and the specific skillset companies need. Need to hire developers with speed, agility and top-quality? Shoot me a DM.

Employees burn out because they carry on too long. Athletes push themselves to exceptional performance, but stop before the point of getting injured. So what can we learn from athletes? 1. Their workouts are scheduled on a routine 2. They have a clear start time and end time 3. They pace their progress to secure career longevity All this to reach the highest level of achievement. So why is it so hard for us to do the same? It's because we often lack systems and routines. Systems and routines to fall back on when: - We feel stressed out due to work - We feel worked up due to work - We are frustrated due to work - We are irritated due to work We want to work at a comfortable pace and rest before we get burned out. Here's how to do it: 1. Take a break and check your energy level 2. Feeling stressed out or worked up? 3. Take a moment to pace: → Meditate / breathe / stretch / walk, play with your pet Here are a few ways to practice pacing ↓

I'll be in London from June 10-13! The lovely Yousra Saleh and I are flying in from Egypt and Denmark to spread the word about the work we're doing at G2i Inc. ❤️ During our time at London Tech Week, we'll be: 💻 Visiting booths, networking with attendees, and taking in the (very interesting) talks 👯 Hosting a small meetup for our London-based devs 🎤 Joining a panel/networking event with Upstream to discuss fostering innovation in company culture 🤝 Attending an exclusive networking party with top tech innovators through AIXR 💼 Checking out the CIPD Festival of Work to learn about empowering organizations It will be a jam-packed four days, but we're so excited to connect with the London tech scene! If you'll be at any London Tech Week event or are based in London, we'd love to meet you. Happy to discuss community, developer health, partnering on remote talent, and custom hiring solutions! 🙌

I help leaders build world-changing communities—without burning out

If you don't know Thea Silayro and her work yet, then let me introduce you to someone determined, focused, inspiring, and who gets sh*t done. Originally from the Philippines, Thea now resides in Copenhagen, Denmark and leads community efforts for G2i Inc. Her community has a clear compass, supporting senior developers in finding cutting-edge roles while caring for their mental health (something sorely lacking for so many). I was honored to work closely with Thea in 2023 through our work-study-mentorship program, and her drive immediately struck me. We're so lucky to have her as a part of the CMJ Community. The brilliant, helpful people she speaks of in this interview? She's one of 'em.

CEO and Founder at G2i Inc. | Helping tech companies grow by providing the right engineering talent exactly when you need it

One of our devs logged 10,000 hours with our clients. When Armand was just a 13 years old, he was frustrated by the endless grind in the online game Runescape. He built bots to automate tedious tasks. (And got banned a couple of times for that) Those were the early days of Armand's future in software engineering. After high school, he pursued a computer science degree. In his 2nd year, he landed an internship paying $700 per month. Not bad for a college kid in Latvia. The internship turned into a full-time gig. Armand skipped classes and only went to exams. When classes became mandatory he transferred to a UK university. After graduation, he felt restless and unfulfilled in his job. Then he discovered G2i and our community of over 2,000 brilliant freelance engineers. When he joined in 2017, Armand's technical skills and knowledge quickly leveled up: He created a mini audio editor for Podsheets' podcast hosting platform. He created a POC app in just 1 month vs. 3 months. He built a full Finnish-language app. And two of our clients Armand worked with have been acquired by WarnerMedia and Crunchyroll. They say it takes 10,000 hours to master a skill. Armand was 13 years old when he started honing his. And now he works with multimillion-dollar companies. Best thing? Armand, and many more engineers, are available. And you get an intro for free: Every month we match 2 companies with an engineer for $0. Interesting? Send me a DM to see how you can get in.

Last month, while looking at our developer hours, we noticed that Armands Malejevs has logged over 10,000 hours of freelance work across four clients while at G2i! 👏 Inspired by this milestone, I KNEW I had to tell his story. Interviewing Armands was a pleasure, and his wisdom, especially his advice to "do the things you're scared of" stuck with me. 💛 I'm always moved by the impact stories within the G2i community, and I've done my best to share Armands' here. Enjoy the article, and maybe learn a lesson or two from his journey: https://lnkd.in/dnFHY8Dd

    • You know the saying - 10,000 hours is the key to true mastery. Well, Armands Malejevs is living proof. He’s clocked over 10,000 hours working with clients at G2i such as You.i TV (acquired by WarnerMedia) and Ellation (now Crunchyroll) , and his story is seriously inspiring.

Especially in my early career years I experienced some form of burnout quite often. I am grateful that now I have learned how to manage my energy better and set healthy boundaries. It took a lot of work on myself to develop healthy habits, and I would highly recommend listening to Michelle Bakels talk at epic web about her experience of burnout in tech and proactive ways to deal with it. https://lnkd.in/dtus-3SK

We scaled our technical interview team to 13 people, covering 16 time zones, available 7 days per week. That's just for 1 client. When they first came to us, they: 1. Needed 250 highly skilled developers in 30 days 2. Couldn’t handle the candidate funnel internally 3. Were challenged by rapid business expansion It turned out to be one of the best customers we've ever worked with. → We enhanced their engineering team's growth → We created a fully customized talent pipeline → We built a unique onboarding process We even built their developer community from scratch. They get access to our Slack channels and get weekly metrics reports and updates. That's just our efforts. Customer dedication is equally important: → They act fast so WE can act fast → Great chemistry makes everything frictionless → They take great ownership of their talent pipeline Instead of worrying about errors, there's mutual trust and transparency. Result: A talent pipeline to scale with quality engineers fast. "It's like you've been in our planning meetings", they said. Sounds like a great collaboration? Awesome. Are you a tech leader looking to hire engineers without the burden of vetting, payroll, and compliance? Send me a DM and I'll tell you more about our customized talent pipeline.
