If you have an INFICON OSC-100B oscillator, did you know that there is a built in push-to-test feature which can help to identify the cause of a crystal failure messages? 💡 While pressing the internal button on OSC-100B with an object like a pen or Allen key, you will see a steady frequency reading between 6 MHz and 5 MHz. If you get a steady frequency while pressing this button, then the OSC-100B and BNC cable connecting OSC-100B to your QCM monitor or controller are not the cause of your crystal failure.
